Carelessly laying tyres in a corner can result in a considerably reduced lifetime. This is the correct way:

Mark the direction of rotation and position before demounting the tyres:

FR = Front right,
FL = Front left,
RR = Rear right,
RL = Rear left.

Remove chippings and grid from the tread grooves.

Choose a dry, cool storage space, and keep the tyres away from fuel, oil, grease or chemicals. Tyres mounted on rims should be piled in lying position – best on a flat wooden pallet. Tyres without rims should be stored in a vertical position and rotated from time to time.
