Installation hints:
- Before installing the new tyres, clean the wheels and check for damages. Beginnings of rust, particularly at the beads, are to be removed.
- Labels stuck to the tyres, particularly at the sealing zone of the beads, are to be removed.
- Before any new installation, replace the rubber valves.
- Apply a sufficient quantity of tyre bead lubricant to the tyre beads and the seating surfaces of the wheel.
- During filling the tyre, note that the tyre beads have to overjump the hump of the bead seat first. The necessary "step pressure" may not exceed 3.3 bar.
- To achieve a correct position of the tyre on the bead seat, it is necessary to pump up the tyre to – depending on its size – 3.5 to 4 bar. Centric position can be checked by means of the centre lines.
- Afterwards reduce the tyre pressure to the operational value, and screw in the valve insert.
- Finally close the valve cap in order to protect the valve from dust and moisture and seal it off tightly. Improper installation of tyres might result in damages such as bead wire break, creeping loss of pressure, or an unbalance of the wheel. That's why tyres should only be installed by trained experts.
